We will begin our tour with an approximately one hour and 30 minute visit to the Hoover Dam where you will witness what has been called one of America’s Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders of the World. Next you will enjoy a relaxing 90 minute deli lunch cruise aboard the Desert Princess, an authentic three level Mississippi style paddle wheeler.

As you cruise the water of Lake Mead you will view the unparalleled sight of Hoover Dam and the steep canyon walls that surround it. DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA! You will have lots of opportunities for great photos & videos.

Itinerary
  1. Pickup From Hotel 08:00 AM

    We start our pickup at 8:00 AM.

  2. Depart from Las Vegas 08:30 AM

    Departing from terminal or last hotel.

  3. Arrive at the Hoover Dam 09:15 - 10:45 AM

    Arrive at Hoover Dam, one of the largest reservoirs in the United States.

    Enjoy an hour and a half to explore the exterior of the dam on foot. Take pictures of the magnificent drop in the Colorado River from many angles.

  4. Dine on Desert Princess 10:50 AM - 12:20 PM

    Hop on a Desert Princess, the famous Mississippi-style Paddle Wheeler Boat, and dine while we float along the Mead Lake.

  5. Head back to Las Vegas 12:35 PM

    Return to the Christianson Tours bus and head back to Las Vegas. We’ll leave with a beautiful memory of the Lake Mead Cruise.

  1. How long is the Lake Mead Cruise tour?

    It is a 6-hour tour. We pick up and drop you off the same day from Vegas. Pickups start between 8-8:20 AM depending on your hotel and you will get back to town at around 1-1:30 PM.

    Take pictures, enjoy the sceneries, collect unforgettable memories…

    Basically, Lake Mead is a relaxing place to take in the scenic Southwestern landscapes like no other place.

    Lake Mead is only about a 15-minute drive from Hoover Dam, making Lake Mead and Hoover Dam the perfect combination for a day tour or half-day tour from Las Vegas.

  5. Is face mask required during the tour?

    Yes, a mask is required. Especially entertaining the Lake Mead Cruise, as this is the “new normal”. There will also be temperature checks of each person.

  6. Can I bring alcohol to this trip?

    No. No firearms or alcohol are permitted on any Christianson Tours vehicles.

  7. Are there any prohibited items?

    Yes.
    Due to security restrictions at the Hoover Dam, the following items are PROHIBITED:

    If you are not sure, please verify with us prior to booking.

  8. I have walking issues, would this tour be okay for me?

    Yes. These tours do not have any heavy hiking but it does require some walking.

  9. How does payment work?

    When you book a tour, we accept cash and major credit cards for methods of payment.

    Child discount is for children 12 years and younger that is accompanied by an adult.

  10. Can I cancel the tour?

    If you wish to cancel the trip, please contact us or your agent 24 hours in advance, otherwise, your deposit may be forfeited. You should ask your agent for more information; Christianson Tours does not have possession of that deposit.
