Why Don’t We Stop At Hoover Dam On South Rim Tour?
Before the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge was built, all vehicles going to and from Arizona must drive on the Dam. Since the completion of the bridge, there is only one way in and one way out.
Going to Hoover Dam will take about 40 minutes from the trip. Our goal is not to spend extra time along the way since the South Rim tour is an exceptionally long day. If visiting Hoover Dam is one of your must-see lists in Las Vegas, we suggest that booking a full Hoover Dam tour is the best option. We are offering a $15.00 discount from our regular retail price.
If you book our West Rim tour, then the Hoover Dam stop is included since the West Rim is a much shorter trip. You will still be qualified for a $15.00 per person discount if you decided to do a full tour.
Staying Over Night At The South Rim?
Many people told us that they do not have enough time at the Canyon.
And let us tell you: the best way to really enjoy the South Rim is to see the canyon after everyone goes home and before everyone arrives.
If that is your plan, be sure to book a hotel room inside the park. Then you can walk from your hotel to the Canyon with ease. If you are lucky, you may even be able to see the Canyon from your window. If you book a room at Tusayan, you may have difficulty finding a mean of transportation to and from the Grand Canyon Village, especially after dark. From Tusayan to Grand Canyon Village is 6 miles (10 KM).
Located in the Northwest corner of Arizona, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park can be accessed by car, plane, and railway. The town located right at the South Entrance to the South Rim is Tusayan, Arizona. And tge town at the East Entrance to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park is Cameron, Arizona.
Considered by many to be the “true Grand Canyon,” 90% of travelers Visit Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim every year. At this part of the Grand Canyon, you can find the vast, expansive views most often seen in magazines, websites, Facebook and on TV. It’s also home to most of the memorable viewpoints.
Because the South Rim is easier to get to, day-use visitors should expect traffic congestion and parking problems, especially during spring break and during summer months. That’s why reservations are strongly recommended during spring, summer and fall.
The least crowded time is November through February. However, winter weather is a major consideration when planning a trip during these months.
Important: Do not try to return to Las Vegas on the same night that you need to catch a flight. It is a major risk to miss the flight if there is any delay.
If you’ve missed the bus, the cost of returning to Las Vegas is $50.00 per person. Contact us for more information.
